Daniel Brewer: Director
Daniel is the founding director of Resonance Limited. Having spent several years in manufacturing as an engineer and leading a political lobbying campaign on the UK poverty trap, he founded Resonance in 2002. Since then he has led on a variety of social investment deals including real estate investments, community share issues, direct angel investments and structuring investment funds. He is also a non-exec of a small number of high impact social enterprises.
Peter Dawe OBE: Director
Internet entrepreneur and social business angel Peter Dawe is one of the great internet innovators and entrepreneurs. He created the first UK internet service provider. Peter also has a significant track record of investing in social enterprises, particularly those working in areas of tackling homelessness and unemployment.
Bob Paterson: Director
Bob Paterson is Visiting Social Enterprise Fellow, Community Finance Solutions (CFS) at the University of Salford & an Ashoka Fellow. He was the driving force behind the first two Community Reinvestment Trusts in Britain, a model which was then extended to include land and property to form a Community Asset Reinvestment Trust. He is a Director of Community Land and Finance Ltd., providing consultancy support to emerging CLTs and leads the National CLT Facilitation project with funding from the Department of Communities and Local Government Empowerment Fund.
Simon Chisholm: Investment Director
Before joining Resonance, Simon spent 16 years in a number of roles with N M Rothschild & Sons in the UK and internationally. Latterly as a Director with the company he provided advice to senior managment teams on finance raising and strategic transactions predominantly in the infrastructure and energy sectors, and has also managed corporate teams through periods of rapid change. He has first-hand experience of social enterprise and impact investment through 4 years as a Non-exec Director for a pioneering London-based homelessness charity.
Shirley Hooton: Project Coordinator
Shirley's most recent experience is in the retail sector, having held regional and national retail sales and project management roles for a global energy business. Previously she worked in the third sector having spent several years as a fundraising manager for a national charity, and has also run her own businesses, including property development and management.
Andy Schofield: Associate
Andy has most recently worked as a consultant helping organisations from all sectors maximise their positive social and environmental impact. He is one of the team that designed the Transformational Index for use in the social sectors. With a background in regeneration and sustainability in the UK, he has particular experience in social housing and its relation to the public services industry from his time as a director at Pinnacle psg. He is also the director of an early stage social enterprise and is on the board of a Community Land Trust.
