The Cochabamba Project is a rainforest reforestation project in Bolivia, which is combining positive action on climate change with real benefits to the local community through profit-sharing with local farmers. It aims to raise £400,000 from a community share issue for which the application deadline is 30th June 2010.

River Bain Hydro Ltd.

River Bain Hydro Ltd plans to set up the first community owned hydropower scheme in the Yorkshire Dales National Park. It hopes to generate power for around 45 local homes and contribute any surplus income to environmental projects in the River Bain area. The company aims to raise £250,000  through its current community share issue.  Application deadline 9th June 2010

Stockport Hydro Ltd

Stockport Hyrdo Ltd intends to establish two community-owned hydropower schemes near Stockport.  Together they aim to produce electricity for about 130 homes and save around 225 tonnes CO2 per year.  The company hopes to raise £750,000 through its community share issue.  Application deadline 9th June 2010
